As part of World Food Safety Day (7th June), the School of Public Health, JSS AHER organized an educational field visit to CSIR–Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru on 10th June 2025. The visit provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to food safety practices through live demonstrations. Participants observed techniques for detecting food adulteration, microbiological testing, and advanced analytical methods such as HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction). The visit enhanced understanding of food safety standards, laboratory procedures, and the critical role of scientific research in ensuring public health.
