The Sexual Assault Awareness Marathon 2025 : Every Step Tells A Story, proudly organized by Oculis Iuris, the forensic medicine and toxicology club of JSS Medical College in association with Skyline Events, took place on 1st June starting at the historic Mysore Palace. Starting at 7:00 AM, the 5 km marathon drew an inspiring crowd of around 180 participants — students, faculty, and citizens all coming together for a powerful cause. The event carried the message “Every step tells a story”, emphasizing that this was more than just a run, it was a movement toward awareness, solidarity, and action against sexual assault. The inauguration was done by esteemed chief guest Dr.Ravi M.N., Cardiothoracic surgeon of Narayana Hospitals, followed by dignitaries Dr.ManjunathA B., Registrar, JSSAHER, Dr.Narayanappa, Principal, JSS Medical College, Dr.Chandrakanth H.V., HOD, Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, JSS Medical College. Participants received custom-designed marathon T-shirts, finisher medals, and certificates of participation, making the event both meaningful and memorable. Dedicated volunteers, some with their own vehicles, played a crucial role in route surveillance and water distribution, ensuring smooth execution throughout the morning. Following the run, a nourishing breakfast was provided, fostering a sense of unity and closure. The organizers along with the enthusiastic volunteers, were instrumental in making this event a resounding success. Oculis Iuris is being led by a team of Medical students consisting of Samyukhta K P (President), Shanmukha Vitta and Navkiran Kaur (Vice Presidents) Hemant Kumawat (General Secretary). The organising team also consists of Mridusmita Hazarika, Rayna Gupta, Tamanna Gupta, Sanyam Nagori, Sana Chopra, Anika Bombwal, Shreya Malige and Shubhi Gupta.
