Dr. J Suresh, along with 25 students of 2nd Pharm D students, visited the Pasteur Institute of India, Coonoor, on 21st February 2025. Dr.Shivanadappa and Dr.Mohan warmly welcomed us. The scientist, Ms. Kavia, from the Quality Assurance Department, briefed about the institute's history and workflow. Pasteur Institute of India, Coonoor, produces Vero Cell-derived Rabies Vaccine for Human use and DPT group vaccines consisting of DPT Vaccine, DT, and TT Vaccine supplied to the Universal Immunisation Programme (UIP). It functions as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
